On May 15, I filed a complaint against MP Nicolae Bacalbasa at the Permanent Bureau of the Chamber and the Disciplinary Commission as a reaction to the sexist behavior he manifested in the plenary session.
Mr. Bacalbaşa’s digressions are intolerable and must be sanctioned according to the existing regulations. I welcome PSD’s decision to suspend him from the party, but I think it is not enough given that the deputy still has access to the plenary, where he behaved totally unworthy.
I will also notify the National Council for Combating Discrimination Romania, in order to apply sanctions in accordance with the laws in force.
“Respect for women in general and also in the Parliament of Romania!
We will not tolerate the behavior of Mr Bacalbaşa, who is trying to turn his sexist and rude behavior into a habit!
We will not be kneeling. Regardless of the political color, women’s rights must be respected, which is why we will complain against this abuse. ”
